I’ve been asking myself the same question since yesterday.
At any rate, I just came off a project that gathered professionals from I don’t know how many occupations to train an Artificial Intelligence/Large Language Model (AI/LLM). The work was interesting, the people were awesome, and the pay was life-changing for someone who’s been mostly relegated to low-paying generalist contract work. During my time on the project, a long-dormant creative ember began to glow brighter.Â
I’ve been a writer for as long as I can remember. Before home computers were ubiquitous, I wrote in notebooks. When I got my first PC, I wrote in a journaling app, and over the years I’ve written in Word documents, Blogger blogs, and Facebook posts. Since the end of my most recent project, I’ve even written a couple of posts on LinkedIn (i.e. “Corporate Facebook”).Â
In addition to writing, I’ve been dabbling in Canva. I can’t draw worth a darn, but I have a fair eye for design, which will help with making content for my own and another social media page I manage. I decided to enroll in a course to learn more about Canva and improve my skills.
I’m still not entirely sure what I hope to accomplish with this website. It just felt like something I needed to do.Â
